The Alexa

I have literally bought, ok not literally, but basically literally bought THE Alexa Chung dress which I have been looking for in previous months. I am not kidding it is exactly the same, the frilly collar, the buttons the line detail. The only thing which would complete this look is to have a pair of ridiculously long and twiggy legs like Alexa, but that ain't happenin' any time soon... So for now, just the dress.
How did I come across this ahmazing encounter you may ask. Well, I was simply putting out new stock in Olive and suddenly this beauty tumbled gracefully out of the poly-plastic bag it had been encased in. Since the first thing I said was "Alexa Chung dress!" I am now Christening this honey-face the 'Alexa', ugh I love my originality sometimes. not only is it sweet and girly (just how I like my dresses), it's also quite a loose fit which, I know sounds tent-esque, but just adds to the 'adorableness(?)' of the entire look. I'm going to be parading around town in my Alexa, Panda Backpack and Fedora hat (with the addition of perspiration as it is getting hot now'a days) as soon as possible. If you want to join me in the craze order yourself a dress here (I am not being paid to promote or advertise here by the way).

There's a Shroom in me Soup

Life is difficult as a student sometimes... Especially deadline time, at the moment, even though it's tricky to get everything done in time I'm actually enjoying my days as I have an 'excuse' to make and draw all of these unusual things which I feel like I wouldn't have been able to create without the aid of school.

I've been making a lot of mushrooms in jars recently for my art and I am just lovin' it. This here is my favourite one, his name is George... I'm not sure why, but the name stuck so George it is. He's a gorgeous pea/olive green velvet with machine embroidery and has lots of wool shrubbery around him to keep him cosy. I actually cannot tell you how much I adore him, and in the summer I have big shroomy plans... heheh, oh you'll see.

After I made him I put him in a little jar to keep him safe, oh my how tiny and adorable he is! I just cannot take my eyes off of his little green cap and woolly feet. He has just made my day all the more better. It's going to be so sad when we have to depart for a few weeks when I hand my art in.

I've also been buying flowers recently, and I know what you're all thinking 'but Claudia I thought you always dried your flowers out...', well yes I am in the process of doing that, but for now I thought the colours look really lovely in my room and it's nice having life with me.

It's 'Art'

Since my deadline for Art and Textiles is coming to a very steady end, my room is starting to look a little hectic and in general very messy, and for a neat person such as myself it's getting me all jittery. However since it's almost like creative chaos I do kind of like it, I'm not even going to show you my Textile space, it's literally just horrific...

Yeah, so my bureau hasn't been closed for months now since I can never be bothered/have enough space to be able to close it.

Even the top is just littered with little oddities which I have been making and collecting for art.

I even went so far as to finally now having a 'washing line' in my room, I think it's lookin' well cool there, and although you cannot see it my door is dripping in ink and covered in paint from where I've been using it as a kind of easel. I think it works just as well.

And that's Marceline, say hi, she's a little remorse at the moment...
